A Vaarta is a true story โ not a made-up one! About 500 years ago, a great teacher named Mahaprabhuji Vallabhacharyaji travelled all over India and met all kinds of people. He taught them how to love Thakorji. The 84 people who became his students were all very different from each other. And Thakorji loved every single one of them. ๐ฟ
These are their stories.
Meet the 84 Vaishnavas! Stories of real people Thakorji chose
Damodardas had read every book and knew every prayer. He thought he already understood God! But when Mahaprabhuji gave him Brahma Sambandha, he felt something he had never felt before โ real love for Thakorji. All his learning had not given him this. Only grace could.
Krishnadas took care of Lord Shreenathji's svarupa โ dressing Him, offering food, keeping everything perfect. One day while serving with complete love, the svarupa spoke to him! The Lord Himself guided His servant.
Surdas could not see with his eyes โ he was blind. But after Mahaprabhuji's blessing, he began to "see" Thakorji with his heart! He wrote thousands of beautiful poems describing exactly how Thakorji looks โ His peacock feather, His flute, His butter-stealing. How? Because love sees what eyes cannot.
Kumbhandas had no money, no fancy clothes, no school education. But his love for Thakorji was so real that even Emperor Akbar โ the most powerful king of India โ asked him to sing! Kumbhandas went but his heart was heavy missing Thakorji. He sang only for the Lord.
Paramananddas was so full of love for Thakorji that sometimes when he sang, he would forget where he was! He would just sing and sing, completely lost in the joy of Thakorji's love. People said he looked like he was dancing inside.
Nandadas had studied a lot โ but instead of just studying, he turned all his learning into beautiful poetry! His famous Ras-Panchadhyayi describes the magical Rasa dance of Krishna. Both scholars and simple devotees love his poems equally.
Raidas made shoes for a living. In those times, people said his job was too "low" to be close to God. But Raidas loved Thakorji with all his heart. He sat making shoes and singing to God all day. He became one of the most famous devotees in all of India.
The number 84 is special! In our tradition, it is said that a soul takes 84 lakh (8.4 million!) forms before becoming human. So the 84 Vaishnavas represent ALL kinds of souls that Thakorji can love and choose โ every type of person in the whole world! ๐

Love is your superpower
Kumbhandas had a love so pure even an Emperor could not match it. Your love for Thakorji is your superpower!
Small daily seva counts
None of the 84 did one huge magical thing. They just loved Thakorji every single day. Thakorji keeps track!
Grace is a free gift
Thakorji gives His love freely โ not because you are perfect, but because He WANTS to. You are always good enough!
Think About It! ๐ค
